October 30, 2009 was my last day at Vestas. I spent Halloween weekend drafting testimony on behalf of the Conservation Law Foundation in support of the Maine Power Reliability Program. Construction of those transmission lines and substations were completed in 2015.
The past six years have been a lot of fun — and I appreciate all of the clients and colleagues who made it possible. I’m looking forward to continuing to do what I do for many more years. People often ask: “what do you do?” The short answer is always “consulting on energy policy issues.” Most of those who push for more detail quickly lose interest as I begin talking about the intersection of energy policy, technical generator characteristics, energy market design and integration rates with important tangents on transmission expansion. In the hopes of making that explanation easier, I’ve redesigned my website.
I want to thank Jessica Hecox at Sugar Pixel Design for creating my logo. I enjoyed working with Jessica. We ended up with a completely different design than I had originally envisioned, but I hired her to save me from my own mistakes – and she did.
I also want to thank Nedra Rezinas and her team at Blue Deer Forest for putting the new website together. They were very patient in working with me. I am quite pleased with the way it has turned out. Any problems with the site are my responsibility — not Nedra’s.
Finally, I’d like to announce that Tilghman Associates has a new Senior Consultant. About 18 months ago, I was devastated when Hilary Foote told me that she would be leaving EDPR and starting a cattle ranch. But I am delighted to announce that she is now part of the Tilghman Associates team.
Hilary has experience with all phases of project development, as well as origination and asset management. I could tell you more about her, but instead I’ll let you explore the new website.
